Jordan Dodd, Georgia Marriages to 1850, (Provo, UT: Ancestry.com, 1997 [database online]). Eight of the children of this union are named in the 1850 census. Clark M. Dickerson [sic] household; 1850 U.S. Census; 68th District, Pike County, Georgia; p. 205 (Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration). Sarah Jane is absent; however she is married. Amanda appears in the enumeration bearing her married name (Leak) along with her infant son, Alexander. The Leaks are identified as the household adjacent to that of Clark M. Dickinson in 1860. See Clark M. Dickinson household; 1860 U.S. Census, Mt. Zion District, Spalding County, Georgia; dwelling 832, family 832, p. 278. Joel makes his only named appearance in 1850. He does not appear in the research of Willie Kate Dickinson Henderson.
