JOHNSON FUNERAL HOME
Mrs. Charlotte Elaine Turk, age 63 of Uriah passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Monroe County Hospital. Mrs. Turk was a native of Atmore but lived most of her life in Semirah Springs. She was a graduate of J.U. Blacksher High School. Mrs. Turk was a former member of Mineola Baptist Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her mother Lucille Hollinger Turk; paternal grandparents William Labon Turk and Essie Grimes Turk and maternal grandparents Alexander H. (Doll) Hollinger and Lillie Mae Heathcock Hollinger. Mrs. Turk is survived by her father Thomas Turk of Semirah Springs, AL; one sister Debbie Bohannon of Semirah Springs, AL and half brother Butch Griffey of Theodore, AL. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 from 10AM to 11AM at Semirah Springs Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11AM at Semirah Springs Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Jesse Bohannon officiating. Interment will be at Semirah Springs/Poarch Creek Indian Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
