Jones names Elizabeth Simm's husband as James Askew. This is not correct. Jones, for instance, names Eliza Garret as James's step-daughter from Elizabeth Simms first marriage; John, however, was the guardian of Garrett as repeatedly evidenced by the minutes of the Court of Ordinary for Hancock County.
