She was a maternal descendant of Lion Gardiner who was the owner of the historic Gardiner's Island off the coast of Long Island and a founder of the Gardiner dynasty in America. On her paternal side Mrs. Holliday's ancestry is traced to the Willards of Brooklyn, a founding family of the New York borough and also the lineage of the Mayflower Bradford and LeBaron families. Mrs. Holliday's grandfather, the late Edward A. Willard, was a well-known yachtsman who defended the America's Cup from 1893 to 1895.

Mrs. Holliday attended Miss Porter's School in Farmington, CT and Finch Junior College in New York City. She was first married to Dr. Frank B. Orr, longtime resident of Newnan, Ga. and lineal descendant of Robert Simms, an original settler of Virginia in 1694 and Captain John Dickinson of Revolutionary War fame.

Following Dr. Orr's death in 1957, she was married to Floyd N. Holliday. After moving to Shaftsbury, Mrs. Holliday was employed as manager of the gift shop at the Iron Kettle in Shaftsbury for 14 years. Mr. Holliday died in 1979.

Mrs. Holliday is survivied by a daughter, Nancy Van Nostrand Fanning of Virginia Beach, VA; a son, Frank Brock Orr Jr. of Columbus, GA; step-daughter, Elizabeth Holliday Nutter of Montreal, Canada; step-son, John Holliday of St. Petersburg, FL; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three step-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Holliday was predeceased by a sister, Frances Stanton Willard and two brothers, LeBaron Sands Willard and John Van Nostrand Willard.

The Burial Office and Eucharistic Service will be offered Thursday, April 11 at 1 p.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Bennington, Vermont, with the Rev. Arthur Kingdon, Rector, officiating. Burial will be Friday, April 12 in the family lot at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye, New York.
