  • Name Catherine Jones
    • Estate administrator Abraham Woodcock identified Catherine Jones Tunstall as an heir of Samuel Mims through her mother, Prudence Mims Jones. She was in Brazoria County, Texas in 1860, as was her sister, Lucy. (They were neighbors. Her uncle, Joseph Mims, was also a resident of the county.) Lucy was married to Edmund Tunstall Arrington, the son of Elizabeth Kearney Tunstall (q.v.) and nephew of George Brook Tunstall. Two of George's brothers were residents of Baldwin County, at least at the time of their deaths: Thomas Barker Tunstall (d. 1842) served as Alabama's Secretary of State and was buried at Montpelier (he was a bachelor); and Edmund Savage Tunstall (d. 1841) was buried at Montpelier. Dr. Peyton Randolph Tunstall (d. 1847), the father-in-law of Alabama Senator Clement Clay, died in Pensacola. [1, 2]
