The family is enumerated in the 1860 U.S. Census; Mount Zion District, Spalding County, Georgia, p. 126 (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration); the 1870 U.S. Census; Mount Zion, Spalding County, Georgia; p. 469; and the 1880 U.S. Census; Mount Zion, Spalding County, Georgia; ED 117; p. 38. In 1900, the census reports that Martha Dickinson was the mother of nine children, five of whom were then living. Crombies District, Douglas County, Georgia; ED 26; SD 5; sheet 16; p. 88B. Two of the four are thus not accounted for in the research. These were twins according to Wille Kate Dickinson Henderson.
